Acceptance

There is currently no formal acceptance or rejection process. Submissions that follow our guidelines will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all available space is filled.

Rejection

Rejections will only occur if a submission does not adhere to our content or community guidelines.

Fandom: K-pop, J-pop, global music, movies, dramas, anime, manga, Alien Stage, Sanrio, idols, mascots, characters, fan culture, fandom discussions, concerts, conventions, and related fandoms/community interests. Recruit new fans, share about your faves!Community: Lifestyle, culture, identity, community experiences, politics or social topics (non-graphic), educational topics, commentary, interviews, reflections, local guides, recipes, and fun facts. (business promo is allowed).Visual Content: Original art, fanart, edits, collages, graphics, moodboards, photography, photo essays, mixed media, comics, illustrations, and any creative visual work.Written Content: Stories, fan-fiction, poetry, essays, letters, journals, interviews, reviews, commentary, song analysis, quotes, excerpts from other original pieces, lyrics or any written creative work.Activities & Games: Activities are often provided by the NC K-pop Hive team but if you'd like to create one, you can! Examples include this or that, mad libs, spot the difference, draw-this-in-your-style, finish the drawing, I spy, word search, crossword, maze, dating doors, word scrambles, and more!

NSFW Content: Any content unsuitable for public, professional, or school environments, including nudity, sexual acts, fetish content, graphic violence, gore, hate speech, harassment, or excessive profanityCopyrighted or Stolen Content: Reuploads, plagiarism, uncredited artwork or writing, full copyrighted lyrics/scripts/panels, AI-generated reposts without disclosure, or content you do not own or have permission to use. Using idol and characters images is only permitted in the context of being transformed into unique artwork.Additional Notes: We may decline or request edits for submissions that do not align with the zine’s themes, formatting needs, or community standards.

No submissions fee. Participation is free! Distribution is also free! Distribution

Final physical copies will be Saddle-Stitch Booklets and may include anywhere from 20 to 48 pages, based on submissions.With our new process, it takes up to 2 weeks for us to receive printed zines. We expect to begin distribution by August 1st at the EARLIEST.

The spring 2026 Buzzworthy includes content created by artists, writers, and k-pop fans from North Carolina and beyond. With features from Kiera Simone, Jordy Collins, Emu Heath, Taiga Taiyo and others!
